Itchy skin that is inflamed is usually called atopic dermatitis. Commonly known as eczema. If you suffer from it, then you’re probably looking for any way to resolve this condition which has many discomforts. Thankfully, there are solutions in how to cure eczema fast. Of course, you’ve probably experienced flareups. This is where most of the discomfort occurs. Then, it gradually begins to subside where we’d find relief in sight. Unfortunately, the cause of atopic dermatitis is really not known, but it is believed to have something to do with the immune system of people. In order to find some relief, avoid perfumed soaps. Try to find all natural ones like olive oil soaps. Laundry detergent should also be changed, trying more delicate ones. Also apply cream regularly to keep the affected areas moisturized at all times. Is important that you also keep the area very clean and as dry as you possibly can. Of course, depending on the location of the flareup, it could be quite a challenge. For instance, eczema anywhere on the foot might be difficult to deal with because the foot is usually covered with socks and shoes, causing sweating. There are a few things that you can try. Cleanse thoroughly with gentle soap as mentioned above. Dry your whole body carefully and then follow up with moisturizers. Then, try to cover the area by using a gauze cut to size. Not only will the skin breathe properly because gauze is made of cotton, it will also help to absorb any extra moisture that could worsen the condition. You nothing to lose and only to gain by trying it. Another thing that will worsen your condition is scratching. Avoid at all costs. It might be hard to do, especially in winter time with the winter itch. In this case, purchased a humidifier and use it accordingly. You can also apply either cold or wet compresses. Taking an oatmeal bath is also a wonderful way to relax, soothe the itching, give you some real relief as well as moisturize all at once. However, if the itching is unbearable, either try some over-the-counter ointments, calamine motion or see your doctor. He or she may prescribe stronger anti-itch creams.
